mug week continues...

i liked these so much i made about 30+ of them in purple and aqua. you can see those tomorrow. i'll have some for sale online and in my etsy shop in addition to my open studio event on may 1st. salty not sweet in collinwood has some of these too.

I made 18 of these. 9 lived. I have a cracking issue due to the toastiness of my studio in the winter. I'm not complaining but Ohio temperatures cause havoc on my pottery. I threw 30 this weekend. Already down to 29 because one flew off while I was trimming. I fear another one has a handle that is not going to stick.

I am very happy with the results despite the problems I am having. The mugs themselves turned out just as imagined. The glazes worked out perfectly. So while I was defeated in some ways I think these are a success. Hopefully I will have more to come.

I have a problem. I have two glazes that I adore as do my loyal customers but no way to mix more. I can't afford a scale or all the supplies and set up to mix them. Not to mention no space for this equipment. This place will mix your glaze right up for you! And you can get other glazes from other potters but your recipe is never revealed. How frickin' cool is that????
